Genshin Impact Tattoo Ideas and Inspirations: Mondstadt Part 1

The City of Freedom, Mondstadt is considered as a home by many travelers including yours truly. It is where our journey began after all and personally, I like the overall welcoming ambience of the city and its nearby locations. The blacksmith may be a pain to deal with but I let Diona do the talking so I can pretend that we’re dishing out the same sass.  It is home to a myriad of characters making it a goldmine for tattoo inspirations. In this collection, we’ll look at some ink ideas based on these characters from Amber to Venti and everyone in between.

Albedo

Known for his alchemical prowess, Albedo is shown on one of his idle animations to be bringing a dead twig back to life. A twig tattoo can symbolize death as a tree is usually associated with life. While it has a somber symbolism, a twig tattoo would be a good idea for those who want to celebrate a life cut short like a family member or a close friend.

Amber

Our cheerful outrider may not be as popular as other characters but she will always have a soft spot in many a traveler’s heart as she was the first one to join our team. As far as symbols associated with Amber, there’s no doubt that it’s gonna be a bunny. Bunnies symbolizes luck in most Western and Eastern cultures. In Europe, these springtime animals are associated with renewal and fruitfulness.  No matter how you look at it, it’s hard to go wrong with a bunny tattoo.

Barbara

There’s no doubt here, a musical note is the perfect Barbara-inspired tattoo. This self-proclaimed “idol” uses musical notes on her elemental skill and burst talents. It is also easy to determine the symbolism of a musical note as a tattoo. It is an ode to the arts and also symbolizes joy and something that brings beauty to an otherwise mundane life. There are also a lot of musical symbols that you can play around with so this has a lot of potential.

Bennett

Arguably the best four-star character in the game so far, Benny is a fan favorite. It’s not only because he can buff, and heal, and generate elemental particles, and turn everyone into a Pyro DPS. It is also because of his story. Left behind by his teammates, it is easy to take in Benny into any team and protect him at all cost from further heartbreak. He takes care of his elder parents as well, so he’s definitely a keeper. As for a tattoo idea, a thumbs up sign makes the most sense. It exudes an aura of positivity signaling that everything is all right. For those times when something’s not right, it signifies that it will be okay in the end too.

Diluc

Described as Mondstadt’s Batman, this Pyro damage dealer may no longer be the most powerful unit in the game but still remains popular. His snobbish demeanor makes him popular with the girls based on online chatter. He’s also a relatively easy character to use and with the right build can one-shot some gnarly enemies. For a tattoo inspiration, it would be hard to argue against a phoenix. His elemental burst is a big angry fiery bird after all.

There you go for now, five Mondstadt characters and tattoo ideas connected to them. More to come in the future!
